It's not alone in Hyd city but all over the state.
Why not APSRTC do a good business in this area?

I do not know the higher limit of school children that can be permitted in auto's. The auto driver's want to make most of the money in one go,with scant respect to the children's safety.
We have knee jerk reactions only after something has happened and till then just sit tight. Everybody knows the road to St.Ann's is busy , so either a traffic police has to man at all times at the start and end of the school or somebody from the school' side. 2nd divert traffic for 1-2 hours in morning and evening. 3rd ensure that vehicles dropping and picking up kids are done from inside of school and not outside. In long term build multiple speedbrakers. 1-3 does not cost anything. This could have easily been done. Some valuable life could have been saved.
It is time somebody responsible woke up from their deep slumber and did something worthwhile.

Posted by: DoBoy At: 27, Aug 2005 1:53:05 PM IST Pl c in that case it was small kid and the innocent girl was crossing the road to take the bus that takes her home, how can heavy vechiles go at their will at such places, while i agree ,we as adults many dont use footpaths.
Posted by: DoBoy At: 14, Aug 2005 1:31:33 PM IST What is the use of simply blaming the authorites alone?
What about the irresponsibility on the part of the pedestrians while crossing the roads? I see even 'educated lot' do not use foot-paths (at least where they are found). Getting in & getting down near traffic signals is a common scene everywhere. 'Heroes' not allowing passengers to get in or get out of the buses is a regular phenomenon.
Any way, somebody has to take initiative to redress this problem of traffic explosion.
Posted by: SATYA RAMA PRASAD KALLURI At: 14, Aug 2005 10:59:04 AM IST Gd Mrng all, the man who removed the man hole cover has been held by police, as he was responsible for death of one person, earlier.
Posted by: DoBoy At: 14, Aug 2005 10:30:43 AM IST Hyderabad is supposedly to be 5th largest city, but recent happenings in the city will definetely put it in back burner.
1. We have lost 3-4 persons lifes as they have fallen into man holes in recent past. These are supposed to be covered at all times.
2. A small girl of age 4 Baby Reetika lost her life yesterday while trying to reach her school for no fault of hers.

I wish god gives all the strength to the parents of small girl to withstand the tragic loss. I pray for all those persons who have lost their lives in recent past. Let their souls rest in peace rest in peace.
It is time we cared for human lives. If even one concerned official, person can do something to above, the purpose of this posting has been served.
It is time somebody responsible woke up from their deep slumber and did something worthwhile.
