It's amazing if this really works! So the phones not only carry the sound waves but all the frequencies that RF technology uses?
In that case you could remote control anything over the phone! provided the receiver is within the range that the phone's earpiece can produce :-)
Is this the same technology that some of the services like ON-STAR leverages upon?

How you can get into your locked car with the keys inside. But for this to work, your car needs to have remote keys. Suppose you have managed to lock yourself out of the car, and the spare key is infuriatingly at home. Here’s how the technology works.
You can call your home from your cell phone. The person at the other end needs to take the keys and press the “unlock” button, holding it close to the phone. You, on the other side of the call, need to lean close to your car door, and hold your cell phone about a foot from it.
And, voila, the car door will open, with the signal to “unlock” travelling from your home phone over the wires, and the radio waves, to unlock your car door. The fun part here is that you could be hundreds of kilometres from your home, but if you can reach someone who has the other “remote” for your car, you can unlock the doors, or the boot.
It also obviates the need for someone to drive over with your car keys. Ain’t technology grand? Moral of story: Never leave your home without your cellphone.
Battery charging
Imagine your cell battery is very low, and you are expecting an important call.
But I am told that several of Nokia’s handsets have a reserve battery. If you have such a Nokia handset, you need to do the following to activate the reserve battery: Press *3370#, and the mobile phone will switch on with the reserve battery, and the instrument will show a 50 per cent increase in battery power.
This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time.
