Can we still believe that the country can be safe in the hands of the ruling party? I do not think so. Just be observing the activities of the Congress in general & our state Congress party in particular carefully, regarding corruption, covert encouragement for conversions etc. I am sure exactly on this day after one year, many people who are thinking that this country is safe under the present government will be compelled to change their opinion on this party as well as communists.

‘The Mitrokhin Archive, Volume II: The KGB and the World,’ by Christopher Andrew and Vasili Mitrokhin, a senior KGB archivist, reveals details of the agency's activities in India such as covert funding of the Congress, individuals, media, and politicians of the undivided Communist Party of India (CPI). The new book devotes two chapters to India. It claims people in high places, including ministers, were willing to provide sensitive information to the highest bidder and ‘it seemed like the entire country was for sale.’ While politicians from the Congress and Left parties were quick to rubbish the revelations, veteran media hands and former intelligence officials believe that some of the exposures had a semblance of truth. The BJP has reacted saying the Congress should come forward and respond to the damaging claims made in the book. Congress and CPI dubbed the revelations as ‘pure sensationalism and ‘concocted’ reports. On the other hand, opposition BJP seized the issue alleging the country was not safe in the hands of the ruling party. Comment.
