Lets celebrate Diwali with a difference. "Dollar A
GET-TOGETHER" . The idea is to collect $1 per couple or per family or
per individual whenever we have a GET-TOGETHER.
While we celebrate the joy and happiness with our loved one's and
friends, we also must not forgot the millions of people who cannot
share the same joy and happiness. We shall pool all the money we
collect round the year and use it for one common cause such as
1) Sponsor an Eye - Operation.
2) Sponsor a kids health , education for 1 year etc
Now you might think , what 10 Ruppes can do and why only a 10 Ruppes.
Why only $1 Ruppes : Often , we don't consider $1 as a big amount , so
when we ask for a dollar , nobody really minds , especially when you
explain them the cause.
What $1 can do :
1) It costs $38 to perform a Cataract Surgery
2) It costs $18 to educate a child for a year
3) It costs $20 to educate an entire class ...
As you see , $1 can be really powerful . Please dont feel obliged to
be a part of this , But if you choose to be a part of this, then
please try this amongst your friends as well. Also please forward this
to your friends/family and colleagues ...
You can nominate one person per group to maintain all the funds and
come next Diwali you can contribute the collected "Diwali Fund" to one
cause which you chooose to contribute.
You can reply with a YES if you want to MAKE A DIFFERENCE !!!!
