| I guess the auto drivers compensate that with the extra miles that they take you around on an involuntary city tour. Even if you know the route, the road will always be in a bad condition for the elegant chauffeur!
One way to outwit the bunk owners is to give them a lot of change when you pay! Either he'd be tired of counting or he'd find its short of 5 rupees, by then you should have fled the scene! :-)

I sympathize with the auto rickshaw drivers to some extent for one reason .. the Fuel charges are rising steeply but the auto fares are forced to remain the same. The Govt shoudl revise auto fares and install digital meters to avoid tampering ...
As of the Petrol pumps, you can fill the petrol in a bottle of standard size, have a cam ( may be a mobile fone camera) record the whole thing and then approach the consumer court!

From petrol bunk meters to auto-rickshaw meters, its a wicked tampering game that is in vouge across the state.How do you outwit the tamper masters???
