Hello Friends, I am posting this news that is forwarded to MAD group. ---------------- I am Sastry working in visakhapatnam Steel plant as a Deputy Manager Marketing in Bangalore branch. I have two deaf children. By god's grace and my company's support I got both of them operated and our Children are doing well. As a father of deaf children I know the problem and I thought of helping other deaf children. I shared my views with my former collegue Sri Srikar who is in abroad and he responded positively and took lot of burden on his shoulders. Then I spotted one deaf child in Mysore, Master Sashank 7 years old. I have taken initiative and took them to Madras for evaluation and MRI Scan. The boy is fit for surgery and doctor told that he will gain hearing and speech with the surgery. We consulted the doctor and told the financial problem and he agreed to get this through charitable trust. From their side they waived the Doctors fees ( Rs 40,000/-) But we have to pay Rs 7 lakhs towards implant cost and about Rs. 60,000/- towards surgery charges. This is a big project and normal middle class people can not afford. We have appeled for help in news paper. Our appeal was published in Times Of India on 15/11/2005. Society will not view deaf as a severe ailment and just ignores. Only few will be aware of this problem and come forward for help. We will be very happy if some more hands join with us and help one deaf child by giving new bright life to them. The contributions given to "MADRAS ENT RESEARCH FOUNDATION CHARITABLE TRUST" are exempted from Income Tax under section 80G. I request one and all to help for this great cause. I request you to mention beneficiary name as Master B.S. Sashank while sending contributions to "MADRAS ENT RESEARCH FOUNDATION CHARITABLE TRUST " payable at CHENNAI. Regards VVV SASTRY My contact address is : VVV SASTRY, NO 303, GOLD TOWERS 50, RESIDENCY ROAD, BANGALORE PIN : 560 025 Ph nos 080-22270280,080-28524048 MOBILE : 09886542682 ------------------------------------------------------------ Details of the boy's family They are low middle class. Mr Siva Kumar, father of Master Sashank, is working in Diploma college ( aided college in Chikaballapur) on consolidated pay about Rs 6500/- per month. Mother is a house wife. They don't have any properties. They have Rs. 3 lakhs with great difficulty they could arrange this funds. The boy is bright. He has taken therapy in Mysore for four years and this the right time for the surgery. Mother is also trained in Mysore and she can train the boy after the surgery. Definitely technology has an advantage and improve the boy's condition. We have appealed in the news paper ( Times of India on 12/11/2005. The response is still awaited. ---------------------- let me know how many of you are interested to send money for the Cochelar Implant Surgery. I wish to send the money by the first week of January. Those who are interested to send money for this cause, do send by this month end. My Citibank Account is still active. My contribution for this cause would be Rs. 500 as usual. Thank you.
