General Forum: Current 'Affairs' | | WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED BY AGREEING TO NUCLEAR DEAL WITH USA? | |
| What is the end result of entering a nuclear deal with USA?Do we really know its implications and are we really at an advantage? We needed nobody to do "Pokaran" blast in 70's, we did on our own with our own personnel, scientists and know how, with may support of then USSR. What we need to remember is that the deal will be hell lot of money, it will generate employment for unemployed in USA, increase their markets and increase their business avenues? What happens to India? We have manpower, resources, scientific community,intelligence, dedication, why do we have to depend on someone else's technology and come in their gambit? We should not have been hurried into the deal, without knowing fully its implications. I hope other senior and journalistic friends have more to tell and comment on the subject.
