General Forum: Society | Impact of IT Sector on Society & Human relations | |
| Money link situation was there previously and today also tomorrow!
Apart from IT we have many threats in the soceity like Alcohol, drugs, brokerage, sundiacate, theft, cheat, blackmail, rape murder & crime, rigging elections, social evil elements.
So, priortize them.
IT just gave employment but not education. Education what we provide to our soceity.
In mid sevneties and eighties Gulf boom gave little relax to South east Asian Countries. People tolerated and stayed in gulf. Majority of housekeepers are from India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh. Pakistan banned house maids to Gulf countries.
We have to create individuality and earning capacity. Today people are returning from Gulf. It's a good change but it is not enough. Give pride to Indian and respect Indians.
IT professionals can getout of stress if they make suitable living and life style.
One suggestion I had is keep away from metro life bepart of village. IT can be developed and worked from any part of the world.
Posted by: Mr. M Kumar N At: 26, Nov 2007 5:05:35 PM IST Many may agree with me that the IT boom across the globe and particularly in India is bringing lot of money to youngsters and tempting them to go for a lucrative life style. But is it doing good for them? How much impact it is creating on the society and the human relations? Is it creating a rift in the family relations? Now a situation is developing such that every item is being seen and linked with money but not on utility basis. The relationships with other members of the family who are from non-IT sector are getting strained. It is sometimes tempting these non-IT sector people to catch the money of IT-sector and are ending up in efforts that are ultimately spoiling their careers, relations and life. Families are being split in search of this attractive money. People who are really earning money in IT, on the other hand, are also not happy. They are working under a lot of pressure. Their health is also deteriorating. Ultimately who is getting benefitted by this IT boom??? I would like to have a good discussion on this sensitive issue which I feel is a bigger threat to society than the real estate boom.
