The outcomes of any Commission appointed by any Government never tells the facts and truths. If the guilty is allowed to draft his/her own judgment, he/she drafts the judgment in such a way that the victim will become guilty. For the Communally minded political parties and organizations whose mind-set revolves around temples, hatred, destruction and communal vote banks, the Nanavati Commission’s report may give some festive occasions. But who are responsible for the aftermath of burning the bogies in which so heinous crimes committed? How many murderous minds and hands escaped from conviction till date in Gujarat? The bloodbath may not last for weeks unless the police were either silent spectators or abetted the violence. Nobody believes that then Gujarat Administration was innocent and unaware of the crimes. Moreover, Nanavati commission was appointed by the accused and submitted the report to the same and hence, irrelevant. Because the commission like any other was not independent. Let all the members of then Gujarat Administration, including the Head of the Government, Cabinet, Head of the Police and local police officials undergo narco-analysis under a Special Independent Enquiry Commission to deliver justice.
