This is Amar working in IT Company as a web developer.
I am also looking for that and I have gathered some information to go to UK.
UK is quite good for job purpose; home office (UK) has giving some pdf’s and exe files(Electronic forms) to apply for an working visa and other details....

Well.. exactly if you wanna explore in australian IT market Prior get good knowledge in CRM or .Net technologies. I dont know in India whether you will get good exposure in Siebel or Vantive. Here the market is very rigid for developers. But if you have good communication skills and ability to prove yourself in competative market Australia is the best. Intially getting a break is very difficult. once if u get chance everything become cool...Sydney is the best to explore.

Well to exactly say.....Software job Mkt in UK is also impacted by US Mkt as well.
The Web Technologies inclusive of Java,ASP,Oracle etc are very quiet now in UK.
There are loads of poeple here with multiple skill sets which is also a disadvantage coz the employers are with wider choice and so decision making proces is very slow.
Please dont make big expections and come to UK by leaving the jobs in India.....days are not like the earlier years where people with minimum experience also made a good beginning here in Uk....situation has changed a lot......jobs are no more relaxed..they are with tight schedules....
My suggestion is have some patience and dont be hasty in coming to UK....improve your knowledge in your own area of Software expertise......Hari-London
