Monica was set free: Former Bollywood actress and girlfriend of gangster Don Abu Salem, Monica Bedi after her release from
Chanchalguda women’s prison in Hyderabad,on 25 July 2007. Bedi, 32, was extradited in 2005 from Portugal along
with Salem, a Mumbai underworld mob boss. She has served 18 months in a jail for women in the southern Indian city
of Hyderabad after being found guilty of using forged travel documents by a local court and now is granted bail by
the court.
