The sacred yellow cloth flag with the imprint of Lord Garuda, the celestial carrier of Lord Maha Vishnu, was hoisted atop the golden flag post, `Dwajasthambham,' situated inside the temple complex at the auspicious `meena lagnam' between 6.00p.m. and 6.30p.m. amidst the traditional recitation of Vedic hymns by temple priests.
