Nara Chandrababu Naidu (born 20 April 1950) is an Indian politician and the President of Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh. He is the current Chief Minister designate of Andhra Pradesh, and will take oath of office on the outskirts of Guntur, near the Acharya Nagarjuna University campus at 7.21 PM on 8 June 2014.
He was the state's youngest assembly member and youngest minister at 28 and served as the longest chief minister of the state from 1995 to 2004. He unleashed a series of reforms after taking over the reins of state. With a firm conviction, Naidu laid emphasis on the use of modern information technology. Thus, he was instrumental in making Hyderabad one of the IT hubs in India and earned praise from global leaders and media for his public policies and approach to governance.
Governor E S L Narasimhan will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Chandrababu at a public function to be held at Nagarjuna Nagar between Vijayawada and Guntur at 7.27 PM.Some Cabinet ministers will also be sworn-in.

A host of dignitaries, including 15 Union ministers, six Chief Ministers of various states, film stars and veteran BJP leaders like L K Advani and Murali Manohar Joshi, besides chief ministers of Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Punjab and Goa are expected to attend, sources said.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy will not be attending the swearing-in ceremony, though Chandrababu has extended personal invitations to them.
Soon after taking oath, Chandrababu will sign a file relating to waiver of crop loans to farmers and also loans to women self-help groups.
Modalities for the waiver will, however, be worked out subsequently.
