NASSCOM: A Fabulous Friend of rich in Malayasia?

Dear Everybody: The gory violation of proprietyness of conduct in Malayasia picked me to so much that I have decided to write to Mr. Kiran Karnik, President of NASSCOM. To my utter dismay, Mr. Kiran inspite of his inability to rise to the ocassion has been brash enough to defend himself. Now, can we call him the leader of the new Millenium which is nothing but chutzpah? Although he claims News Papers as sources(see below his response), it is a fool's thinking to pat himself for nothing. I had found nothing in Deccan Chronicle and the only thing I found on page 2(not the first page)of Economic Times was that Malaysian IT Corridor writing to NASSCOM that it was one off an incident. There was no statement from either NASSCOM or Mr. Kiran. I wonder if NASSCOM is just an embodyment of something called idiosyncratic farce. I take it as a positive sign of your commitment to the Indian IT industry and its professionals. I presume you have not seen The Economic Times or The Hindu, both of which featured the NASSCOM statement on their front pages. I presume that you have also not seen the other papers that carried the NASSCOM statement. You have also been too busy (which is a good thing), to have seen STAR news or CNBC, both of which very prominently featured NASSCOM's views and role. And, of course, there is no way you could be familiar with the work we have done with Ministry of External Affairs or in Malaysia. Doubtless you are also unaware of NASSCOM's role in the Indonesia/Polaris incident. May I suggest that you spend a little time on the media and on checking what action is being taken on an issue before jumping to conclusions? I do appreciate your concern on this issue. I remember a long time back when an American was ordered to be caned in Singapore for overstaying, the then President himself intervened. Why dont we have such a caring here??? Is it because these 270 (approx.) are not Chairman or CEO, or VP or large public companies or that they dont represent some multinational vested interests company? I am proud that our very own CM Mr. Naidu has been bold enough to write to the Malaysian authorities. Mr. Kiran, I would like to know if we as Indians should feel inferior, unprivileged and figure in lower echelons of the world IT society. I hope you will prove that Nasscom just doesnt mean it is all about $$ but more importantly it human, empathetic, sympathetic and supportive in all situations irrespective of the fact whether it involves $$ or not.
