Most of us heard of the saying that “it is not important what the society gave us but most important is what is given to the society”. Every one should ask themselves the question being the member of the society. Society is not anonymous. It consists of the people, language, customs &traditions, culture, habits of a territory. Civilizations or Development are of the trends and changes that taking place in the society for our better living.
There is no need to obtain any permission or license to become a member in society. Whether you intend or not, the society includes yourself as its member and thus you become its member. And being its members we “owe certain responsibility towards the society”.
What we owe to the society and why? Is the automatic question arisen in once mind?
Society meant for commonness of its members. Happiness, Better living and peace of mind are the common objects for any society. Money, Wealth, Power, Knowledge, Status, Modernization etc.. etc are secondary.
I hope by this time you might come to know, what we owe to the society;
We owe to the society an absolute tranquil behavior.
The society members should have serene ideology. No body in the earth should suffer because of our behaviors. They should feel our presence lively and joyful.
If every member of the society practices this ideology, no one needs any bothering or worrying on the others behavior.
Then what should we do for this?
- We should not disturb or take away the peaceful living condition of any member of the society.
- Do not ask, demand, request or other wise influence any of the member of the society to do any thing which he is not obliged to do by him towards your needs.
Ex: Asking donations against his will. He may not be in a position to donate any thing or he himself is in need of money. How can you expect him to donate?
- Do not ask, demand, request or other wise influence any of the member of the society to refrain him from doing any thing which he is obliged to do.
Ex: Threatening any officer while discharging his official duties.
Diverting his mind not to help the poor though he was decided to donate some thing to them. Etc etc.
- Don’t cause to heart his feelings by your unjust enrichment.
Ex:- You are already a crorepathi (Koteeshwarudu). You wanted to purchase a rice bag which cost in the market Rs: 2000/-. You know one of your relative/friend working in Civil Supplies/Revenue/Commercial Taxes/Income Tax/Rice Mill.
