I want to share an Unforgettable story with you all. It is not a story but the real life incident. I read it in the Sunday Edition of 'Eenaadu'. I forgot the details of the war and the countries involved. But it reveals a pathetic story of a woman who was kept captive by the winning side soldiers when she was a girl. She was a very active girl who is very interested in Painting. She was hardly 15 when the war was declared. Her country was defeated. One day soldiers came to her village and asked everyone to come out of their homes and lined up women of the age ranging from 13 to 28 yrs of age. They selected some girls and she was one among them. From that day onwards she served them for their sexual needs. She was locked in a room and there is no escape and also no scope for her even to commit suicide. Daily all the soldiers, one after the other used her body. She prayed to God everyday to grant her freedom from that hell. After some time(I don't remember the duration of her captivity), she became pregnant. The doctor who tested her and said to her that she was pregnant, too raped her after the checkup. At last, she came out of that hell. She gave birth to a baby girl. Her only wish has been to get her daughter married. Now she is old and her daughter got married to a handsome young man. I read it when I was in school, may be in 7th standard. I could never forget her pathetic story. For the first time, I got hatred feeling for such soldiers. We find these cases everywhere. Especially in India and in our state Andhra Pradesh too, it seems people have got accustomed to these kinds of news. What is so shocking is even 3 months old babies are not spared, and the 65 year old women are also not safe either. Fathers rape their daughters, and sons try to rape their mother. Those who indulge in these heinous acts are in all the age groups among men. I am neither lying nor exaggerating. These are true facts.
