In life money is important but to what extent is the biggest question. Do we get every thing with money? Can you buy a good friend for 1000 dollars? So to build up good relations one has to really strive for it. Unfortuantely it wont work if it is one way. Sometimes, we try to be genuine in love and concern to our own people and we should also be ready to face mockery. If one is frank and straight forward these days, they are considered fools. People are respected if they have two faces and two tongues and two personalities (split personality) and in todays world it is becoming increasingly difficult to trust anyone. People talk to you with a motive behind or with a hidden meaning which you will not understand if you are a simple person.
So, with the technological developments, man’s attitude and his behaviour and his style of living, eating and talking all changed. Whether it is for good or for bad, time only should decide. There is a proverb in telugu “Eru dATEkA teppa tagalEYaDaM” which many people are following these days from youngsters to elders. They feel proud if their children do this and can boast themselves saying that “We taught our children how to live life and be diplomatic”. Is it diplomacy?
All of us know these things. But in practice we become more self centred and try to justify ourselves in each and every instance with some dilly dally reasons. Why great people like Gandhi used to give importance to Truth is “Truth is God” and “Truth will be triumphant in the last”. So, if one is ruthful to oneself, there will be fewer problems in life. We have to be confident in what we do and realise the core essence of life as we know what is the logical end to life. I think it is hightime that we should realise the importance of life and strive to achieve AtmAnaMdaM with pure love and concern to one another.
By saying above, I am not saying the whole world is like this. There are exceptions and great souls who can give, give and give all the time without much expectations. But to live in harmony, we do not need electronic gadgets but what we need is real genuine heart to love each other and to help each other and to feel for each other. Do not just draw circles and live in that circle. We have to expand our horizons. I have seen teachers, musicians and even some business people who love to serve others without much expectation and return to them. We strive for our families and we only work for their upliftment and ultimately who is yours or ours we don’t know. But at the same time we can not be saints too. If we draw some line somewhere, it will help us. As you all know, we come across so many instances in life and when we see the Oldage homes and the life of old people once they reach a certain age, we too realise that life is not a path of flowers all the time. But God helps those who do really good karma. Help ever and Hurt Never and Love all serve All taught by our Gurus should be the core concept of life.
