There is a world famous Fish Market in seattle called Pike Place Fish Market where they had taken this point seriously. We give an example of a fish market to a noicy, unruly and unmanageable class room. A Fish market is a place where you cannot stand a moment after buying Fish.Standing long for your turn in the line or waiting in the crowd is very disgusting. The place is almost like a mortuary with dead fish around. But this Fish Market the pike place is something different. It’s a lovely place where people go and laugh more than buy fish. You see guys hrowing Fish in air playfully. They throw fish to the counter while it is getting billed. some guys playfully tease boys by moving the fish’s mouth as if it were talking. Still they make lot of business and are world famous.
They framed a Philosophy called Fish Philosophy. There are only 4 mantras.
1)Choose your attitude:
There is always a choice about the way we do our work. Each day we come to work we bring an attitude. we can bring a moody attitude and have a depressing day. We can bring a grouchy attitude and irritate our co workers and customers. Or we can bring a sunny, playful, cheerful attitude and have a great day. We can choose the kind of day we will have.
2) play
We run real businesses which are run to make a profit. These businesssess pay lot of salaries. we take the business seriously but we can be serious about the business and still have fun with the way we conduct business.
In the market they play during the recess and entertain customers. What is thought of as an entertainment by customers is just bunch of adult kids having a good time in a respectful manner.
