KCR Offers Relief For GPSK In Telangana Nandamuri Balakrishna's Gautamiputra Satakarni is gearing up for release on January 12th. It was known that the makers of the film have applied for Tax-free exemption in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Now, it was officially confirmed that movie was exempted from Tax in Telangana state. In order to encourage Historical movies, Telangana government earlier exempted Tax for Rudhramadevi and now for Gautamiputra Satakarni. Balakrishna also visited CM KCR today to thank him for his good gesture and invited him to a special screening of the film before the release.
On the other hand, the Tax exemption from Andhra Pradesh government is yet to be announced officially even though the reports are rife that it was Tax-free in Both states.
Finally, it was a huge relief for Balakrishna's film at the box office. It can benefit up to 20% additional collections from Ap/Tg box office. So let's wait and see how the film is going to utilize this opportunity in a few more days.
