NJ NRIs Pray for Sri Lanka Edison, New Jersey: After the attacks that killed 359 in Sri Lanka on Sunday, Sai Datta Peetham in New Jersey, USA held a candlelight vigil. The attacks were thought to be carried out by Islamist terrorists, targeting Christians.
New Jersey Public Utilities Commissioner Mr. Upendra Chivukula, Sri Lankan Doctor Mr. Wije Kottahachchi also present along with all the Board Members, priests and staff of Sai Datta Peetham.
Devotees at the Peetham participated in the candlelight vigil and observed 2 minute mourning.
Priests of Sai Datta peetham chanted the Shanti Mantra for the deceased and prayed for the injured for the speedy recovery.
