TDP asks TRS to clarify its policy on Farmers Hyderabad, May 14 (INN): Telangana TDP on Sunday asked the TRS Government to clarify its policy towards farmers.
Speaking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan, TDP politburo member Ravula Chandrashekar Reddy said that the TRS Government was trying please the farmers only by making tall statements. However, he said no practical steps were being taken to improve the conditions of farmers. He expressed concern over non-procurement of crops or payment of remunerative prices to the farmers. He said farmers demanding supportive price were being treated as criminals by the State Government.
Chandrashekar Reddy said nearly 3,000 farmers committed suicide during the 1,000 year of TRS in the State. He asked all sections of the society to take note of the failure of State Government.
