Over 5500 claims settled under Rythu Bima Hyderabad, Jan 9 (INN): Principal Secretary of Agriculture Department ParthaSarathi on Wednesday held a meeting with department officials and LIC officials to review the status of claims settlement.
During the meeting it was told that as against 5821 deaths registered 5525 deaths claims are settled. An amount of Rs. 276.25 crores are deposited in nominees' accounts @Rs. 5.00Lakhs per nominee. It was requested to settle the balance claims immediately.
Departmental Officers were requested to coordinate with District Nodal Officers case by case which have been returned by LIC for requirement and submit immediately with respect to minor errors in uploading of data in MIS. With respect rejections because of bank issues pertaining to nominee account status, it was proposed to hold a meeting with bankers shortly. LIC was requested to enable edit option.
It was also proposed to obtain new pattadars data from CCLA and enable in MIS so that new pattadars can enroll under RythuBima as lateral entries. It was also instructed to prepare Budget estimates for the scheme for 2019-20.
Addl. Director of Agriculture Vijay Kumar, Regional Manager LIC Chander and other departmental and LIC concerned officers attended the meeting.
