CM faces DSC heat at Rachabanda Rajhamundry, January 25: DSC-2008 candidates raised their protests at the Rachabanda programme participated by chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in Tuni rural mandal in East Godavari district today. When the chief minister finished his speech and was about leave the venue, DSC candidates, especially women, urged Kiran Kumar Reddy to listen to their woes.
The chief minister, then, asked the officials to pass on the mike to them. Speaking on their behalf, Jyothi from Mamidikuduru village said that she had come all the way from her village to participate in the programme and raise their geniune demand on DSC-2008 postings. When the chief minister asked her to come to Hyderabad and meet him at his camp office in the morning hours when he would meet general public, Jyothi replied that she had, in fact, tried to meet him at the camp office but was denied entry by the security personnel.
Kiran Kumar Reddy called her on to the dais and told her that there were some legal issues with regard to the B.Ed and D.Ed candidates and they would be resolved soon. In Paderu in Visakhapatnam agency area, the chief minister assured the tribals at the Rachabanda that lands would be transferred to them in the agency under the Forest Rights Act. He told them to take advantage of the Rachabanda to get their grievances solved.
