Former principal sentenced for bribe Ongole, January 9. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) special court on Thursday convicted former Principal of Uppugunduru Government Junior College and a senior assistant in Prakasam district in a bribe case.
The Principal P. Ratamma and the senior assistant M. Malyadri were sentenced to five years jail and imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000 each by ACB special court.
ACB DSP R.V.S.N. Murthy said that Koniki Venkateswarlu, who working as physical director in Naguluppalapadu mandal Uppugunduru Government Junior College and died in 2008.
The son of Koniki Venkateswarlu approached the principal for settling financial benefits due to the family. But the abusers are demanded Rs. 10,000/- bribe for settlement of dues.
The abusers sentenced for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 10,000 in 2008 from a deceased teacher's son for settling financial benefits due to the family.
Public prosecuter B.Venkata Subbaiah claimed this case said ACB DSP Murthy.
