Sidda orders high level probe on bus mishap Ongole, December 10. Andhrapradesh Transport minister Sidda Raghava Rao ordered high level probe into Penukonda-Madakasira bus tragedy in Anantapuram district caused to death of 15 persons and more than 45 people were injured in the accident.
Transport Commissioner G. Anantha Ramu will probe the incident and submit a report within 15 days. Transport commissioner also identify the responsible persons for the mishap and suggest measures to prevent such mishaps in the future.
Speaking media Transport minister Sidda Raghava Rao on Friday said that "We already suspended three officials. Stern action will be taken against the officials who found negligent."
The government announced ex-gratia of Rs. 5 lakh to the persons who were killed in a road accident. The government would pay an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh to each person who was seriously injured in the mishap and an ex-gratia of Rs. 1 lakh would be paid to the other injured, he said.
Seriously injured persons were rushed to Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad Apollo Hospitals for better treatment, while others were shifted to Government hospital at Hindupur, he added.
