Inter student attempts suicide Warangal, April 21 (INN): Apprehension over the outcome of the result of her Intermediate examination drove a girl to attempt suicide at Hasanparthy, Warangal district on Thursday morning.
According to Inspector Ashok, 16-year-old Mounica poured kerosene and set herself on fire fearing that she would fail in the examination. Mounica had appeared for the Intermediate examinations which were held in March and was scared that her result would be adverse.
Her father Raju, a tailor, rushed her to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Warangal where doctors said that she had received about 90 per cent burns. She is stated to be in a critical condition with the doctors trying to save her live. Police has registered a case and took up further investigations.
