VHR demands acting against those removed Sadbhavana Pole Hyderabad, Feb 6 (INN): AICC Secretary and former MP V. Hanumantha Rao on Monday demanded action against those who removed Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Yatra Commemoration pole near Charminar.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, VHR alleged that the Sadbhavana Pole, which was erected over two decades ago to commemorate the Sadbhavana Yatra launched by former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. However, he alleged that activists of Telangana Jagruthi, headed by TRS MP K. Kavita, have removed the pole. He said that police should check the CCTV footage to identify those responsible for the act and take action against them.
Meanwhile, the Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Yatra Commemoration Committee delegation, consisting of its Chiarman G.Niranjan and other members Syed Yousuf Hashmi, G.Raja Ratnam, G. Kanhaialal and P. Rajesh Kumar today submitted a representation to Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy and urged him to take action against the culprits. They said that the pole was removed on the eve of a Mushaira organised by TRS MP. The Commissioner reportedly assured them that he would order for a detailed enquiry and take action against culprits.
