Babu expands cabinet, inducts Son Amaravati, April 2 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday expanded his cabinet by introducing 11 new faces and dropping five ministers. The new ministers include Naidu's son Nara Lokesh and Allagadda MLA Bhuma Akhilapriya.
Besides Lokesh and Akhilapriya, the other new ministers are Kimidi Kala Venkat Rao, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, Nakka Anand Babu, Pitani Satyanarayana, Kothapally Jawahar, Kalva Srinivasulu, Amarnath Reddy, Adinarayana Reddy and Sujayakrishna Ranga Rao. They were administered oath of office and secracy by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan at a ceremony held here today.
Those dropped from the AP cabinet include Kimidi Mrunaliki, Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy, Peethala Sujatha, Ravela Kishore Babu and Palle Raghunath Reddy. With this expansion, the strength of the AP cabinet has increased to 26 including the Chief Minister.
Among 11 new ministers, four MLAs have defected from YSRCP to TDP. They are Akhilapriya, Ranga Rao, Amarnath Reddy and Adinarayana Reddy.
