TTS grand festival celebrations Tennessee: Tennessee Telugu Samithi celebrated Diwali, Dasara, Bathukamma festivals at a single event in a grand fashion. The event started auspiciously with Ganesh pooja, followed by prayer song. Many Telugu women brought wonderfully decorated Bathukamma to the stage and did singing and dancing to praise the Goddess with color and flair. Cultural performances by young and young at heart were presented on stage to the fullest satisfaction of the audience.
Siliconandhra Manabadi that was started an year ago in Nashville presented a literary performance. Tennessee Telugu Samithi with the cooperation of Siliconandhra Manabadi is encouraging local Telugu kids to learn and preserve Telugu language. TTS thanked Dr. Deepak Reddy, Karunakar Reddy, Anil Bodi Reddy, Kiran Pasam and Dr. Prem Reddy for being sponsors for the event. Dr.Dhananjaya Rao and Dr.Chakradara Rao honored ATA and NATS representatives as well as sponsors of the event.
Musical concert by singers Mani Sastry (Houston), Krishna Prasad and Rahul Sipligunj took off with excitement. As a final colorful touch, the fashion show by Kids and beautiful women of Nashville was a run-away winner.
Tennessee Telugu Samithi president Revathi Mettukuru thanked the committee for being supportive and hard working to make the event a success. The President of NATS Ravi Achnatha, Manjunath Shetty, Sreenivas Durgam, team of ATA, NATS representatives and others were present.
