Cyber cops to crack phishing scam Ongole, January 8. The Prakasam police officials are consulting the cyber officials in Hyderabad to investigate the cyber crime case of a granite exporter registered in the Two Town Police station here on
Tuesday.
The offender hacked the email account of Anjani exporters chief Challa Sriniva Rao then opened bogus bank account in the name of Anjani Ganites in London and had established contacts with a Chinese trader D. Stones and hacked details of his bank account and transferred 1.25 crore to his Barclays bank account in London.
The police officials made it clear that the cyber criminals in London hacked the details of Chinese traders bank account and withdrawn money from his account.
The officials have decided to take the cooperation of the CID department. The police said that cyber police have kept an eye on emails which the Chinese trader got in the name of the Anjani Granite Company from London.
Meanwhile, based on a compaint lodged by the Chinese trader, the Hong Kong police started investigation into cyber crime said DSP G. Srinivasa Rao.
