Police intercepts 282 ramblers Hyderabad, May 23 (INN): The South Zone of Hyderabad City Police intercepted 282 ramblers, including 32 minors, during the 'Operation Late Night Roam-Yos' launched in different areas of Old City of Hyderabad on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.
The 'Operation Late Night Roam-Yos' was held from 1 AM to 4 AM by 10 teams of South Zone police wherein 282 ramblers were intercepted from Charminar, Khilwath Tegalkunta, Jangammet, Engine Bowli, Chandrayangutta, Talabkatta, Santoshnagar, Madannapet, Hussainialam, Mirchowk and Reinbazar areas. The youth were found roaming in the streets of Old City without any purpose and causing disturbance to common public.
The South Zone Police has wedged 282 youngsters for counselling and seized 12 bikes from their possession. The teams have also raided on Hukka centres at Chandrayangutta and registered four cases against the managements who are running the same beyond the permitted timings for such business. Some of the youth were wandering on bikes in reckless manner without any reasons with high speed which endanger to the common public.
The Addl. Deputy Commissioner of Police South Zone has summoned all the petty vendors of the Idly Dosa carts of South Zone vicinity and warned them to run their business only during the permitted hours to avoid above nuisance.
In order to create a sense about the current happenings and unlawful activities of the above youth, parents were called to Sana Function Hall where the rovers were kept and conducted counselling in front of their half springs. All the parents agreed that they were at fault. They confessed that they have failed to supervise their children and further ensured the South Zone Police that they will keep their children in disciplined manner and will not allow them to cause any disturbance to the common public.
The City Police have reiterated that the recent Nabeel Murder case occurred in the street fight due to mere negligence and lack of supervision of the parents. The recent incidents of stabbing, stone pelting, farce and eve teasing and love affair issues were well briefed to the parents.
