20 countries to attend Partnership Summit Hyderabad, Dec 22 (INN): Business delegations from as many as 20 countries will participate in the Partnership Summit scheduled to be held in the city from January 11-13.
Briefing the media about the preparations for the Partnership Summit at the State Secretariat here on Thursday, Major Industries Minister Dr J Geetha Reddy said that so far, business delegations from 20 countries and ministers from 12 countries have confirmed their participation.
Business delegations from USA, UK, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Sri Lanka, Singapore, China, Zambia, Pakistan, Israel, Bangladesh, Ghana, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Italy will attend the two-day Partnership Summit.
Further, ministers from the USA, UAE, Oman, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Zambia, Afghanistan, Italy, Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore will also participate.
Dr Geetha Reddy, who chaired the second Working Committee meeting at D-Block of the Secretariat, said that more business delegations and ministerial participation was expected for the Partnership Summit.
During the meeting eight nodal committees which were constituted for the summit made their presentations.
They include, protocol, reception, accommodation, transport and logistics committee, Security Committee, City Beautification Committee, Cultural Committee, Media Committee, Exhibition Committee, Investment Promotion Committee and a committee on Business Alliance/Development.
The Working Committee would meet again on January 1 to give final touches to the arrangements, the minister said.
