State retains the brand image of investment destiny Hyderabad, Jan 4 (INN): Andhra Pradesh has retained its brand image of being the most preferred investment destiny, according to a survey conducted by London-based consultancy firm Knight Frank.
'We remain on top as the most preferred investment destination in the country,' Information Technology Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah told reporters on Wednesday quoting the survey report submitted by the firm.
The agency survey, conducted in five prominent states in the country, was based on the availability of infrastructure and pro-industry policies, he said.
'Despite a series of political agitations in the Telangana region, the State did not lose its shine as the investment destination. The State Government has maintained the pace of developmental activities despite political and financial hurdles,' he said.
At least 10 foreign companies might invest in the State soon. However, he did not disclose the names of those companies. He said the government would need about 24,000 acres of land for allotment to those companies and it would soon begin the process of identifying the land.
