MoU's for 5k crore investments signed Hyderabad, Jan 12 (INN): The State Government on Thursday signed Memorandum of Understandings with different companies for investments worth more than Rs 5,000 crore in the State.
The GMR Holdings Pvt Ltd would be investing Rs 30,000 crores on a Refinery cum Petrochemicals Complex. It would also create employment for nearly 2000 persons.
Further, the GMR Infrastructure Ltd will invest Rs 3,000 crores on a multi-products SEZ which would provide jobs to nearly 4000 people.
GMR's Business Chairman G Kiran Kumar signed the MoU in the presence of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy here on Thursday.
Similarly, the B R Shetty and Group will be investing Rs 30,000 crores on a Petroleum Refinery at the PCPIR Region in Visakhapatnam. The project would provide employment to nearly 3000 persons. B R Shetty was present during the signing of MoU.
The Birla Surya Ltd too will invest in the Advanced Solar Photovoltaic production unit with an investment of Rs. 22,000 crores with an employment potential of 7,000.
The Birla Education Ltd. is also investing in Integrated Education, Employment, Technology, Infrastructure, and Industry Development with Rs 2,000 crores to provide employment to 40,000 persons.
The Birla Research & Life Sciences Ltd. Is also investing in Global Integrated Ayurveda Complex with 704 crores of investment and with an employment potential of around 4500 people. Birla Group chairman Yash Birla was present to sign the MoU with the State Government.
Of these proposed investments, the State Government signed the MoUs for investments worth more than Rs 5,000 crore on Thursday.
