Mega food park in Chittor district set to open CHITTOOR: The multi-crore Srini Food Park at Mogili in Chittoor district will be inaugurated by Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar, along with chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Monday.
Addressing a press conference at Mogili, food park chairman DK Audikesavulu Naidu said the mega food park is one of India's largest integrated food parks established through active involvement of the Government of India.
Works under the first phase of the Rs 600 crore venture have already been completed at a cost of Rs 150 crore.
The food park aims at establishing high quality infrastructure and state of art facilities for value addition to horticulture products in the country, reduce wastage in the agricultural supply chain and provide more options to agri entrepreneurs.
The park has involvement of experienced professionals and supported by the APIIC, A Naidu said.
