3,542 crore funding for expansion of Krishnapatnam thermal Hyderabad, Oct 9 (INN): The Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has said that it will fund the expansion of Krishnapatnam unit in Andhra Pradesh. In a meeting with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu today at Secretariat, Power Finance Corporation team led by chairman and MD M.K. Goel, director Agarwal and other executives, said PFC has agreed to fund around Rs 3,542 crore for the expansion of Krishnapatnam unit (whose capacity is 800 MW).
The PFC added that it would also give around Rs 7,000 crore for new transmission schemes of APTransco in the next two to three years. It has also come forward to provide support in AT & C (Aggregate Technical and Commercial) loss reduction through Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reform Programme schemes and the newly proposed Integrated Power Development Schemes (IPDS schemes).
The Power Finance Corporation has said that it would share its best practices with the government of AP in IT and consumer satisfaction services with AP Power Sector Utilities. They have also evinced interest AP's skill development mission as part of corporate social responsibility.
Government of Advisor Dr. Parakala Prabhakar, Secretary (Energy) Ajay Jain and APTRANSCO CMD K Vijayanand were present at the meeting.
