Bhongir Fort to be a tourist destination Hyderabad, July 6 (INN): The Bhongir Fort in Nalgonda will be developed into a favorite tourist and adventure destination by the Tourism departments. The State government has decided to spend Rs 50 crore for developing this monolith rocky hill, Tourism & Culture Minister A Chandulal said.
During a review meeting with officials at the Secretariat, the minister said a rope-way would be put in place and related works would begin in four weeks. The meeting focused on the facilities and infrastructure.
Through ropeway, the tourists can see the prominence of the Bhongir Fort and structural beauty and elegance of the construction. The Fort which falls between the historic Golconda and Warangal Forts has historic significance and the government decided to turn it into a tourist and adventure destination in Telangana.
