RPF nabs two criminals for stealing Hyderabad, March 21 (INN): The Crime Prevention & Detection Squad of Railway Protection Force, Secunderabad under the supervision of ASI VV Subba Reddy apprehended two persons while they were moving suspiciously with a lady's hand bag containing gold ornaments.
The arrested accused persons have been identified as Pittala Mallesh, 70, of Rasoolpura, and P Rajender, 21, (no residence). They were arrested on platform No 8 of Secunderabad Railway station on Friday.
The two accused were taken to Government Railway Police Station at Secunderabad for further investigation. After thorough interrogation, Government Railway Police, Secunderabad recovered 15.3 tolas of gold ornaments valued Rs 3,75,000/- (approx) from them. Further, it was found that these stolen ornaments belonged to four different passengers.
The accused persons were later produced before the II MM Railway Magistrate at Secunderabad and remanded to judicial custody. (INN)
