Intensive ticket checking drive conducted Hyderabad, Oct 19 (INN): Intensive ticket checking drive was conducted in the Secunderabad ' Falaknuma Section of Hyderabad Division, South Central Railway today i.e., 19th October, 2015 to curb ticketless / irregular travel and ensure comfortable and safe journey of bona-fide rail passengers.
The check was conducted under the direct supervision of Aruna Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division and B.D. Christopher, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Hyderabad Division. Officers of Commercial Department, Ticket Checking staff supplemented by Railway Protection Force personnel were involved in the drive. Tickets of all the passengers were scrutinized to detect ticketless / irregular travel.
Focusing on the advantage of MMTS services in twin cities which are 'Cheaper, Faster and Safe Journey of Passengers', Aruna Singh, Divisional Railway Manager counselled/advised the rail user's to purchase Season Tickets to enable hassle free every day travel. They were also cautioned that ticketless travel is the cause for inconveniencing to genuine passengers.
As a part of Intensive drive, a Fortress check was also conducted at Huppuguda Railway station and the offending persons were penalised and also counselled to travel always with a proper ticket / authority and be a responsible citizen.
