Govt of India invites NRIs to PBD The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and the State of Karnataka joined hands in organising a grand convention to mark the celebration of 14th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas. The Convention will be held from 7th to 9th January in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The authorities invited Non-resident Indians and Persons of Indian Origin to attend the celebrations.
The theme of this big day will be "Redifining engagement with the Indian diaspora". Keynote address by Prime Minister of India, presentation of Pravasi Bharatiya Samman awards by President of India, interactive sessions with overseas Indians and youth, sessions on Start-up innovations that have social impact will be the key highlights of the convention.
There will be various special attractions for the occasion like exhibition showcasing flagship programmes and policies; Special sessions on Jan 7th and 10th to portray the Karnataka's investment potential and Start up ecosystem, Indian handicrafts and cultural bazaar and few other cultural events.
