VHR sees hidden agenda behind Governor's meeting Hyderabad, Feb 2 (INN): Congress senior leader and former MP V. Hanumantha Rao alleged that Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan's convening a meeting with ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was fruitless and it won't help resolve contentious issues between the two States.
Speaking to media persons at Assembly media point on Thursday, VHR alleged that the Governor has been trying to seek extension in his term by pleasing both the States. He said if Narasimhan was serious, then he should have convened a joint meeting with Chief Ministers K. Chandrashekar Rao and N. Chandrababu Naidu. He said that the Governor has turned a blind's eye to the irregularities in both the States and was trying to woo both KCR and Naidu to get another extension in his term. Further, he said that both KCR and Naidu were giving a wrong impression among people about having differences with each other. He said both the CMs were misleading the people of their respective States and wants the contentious issues to continue for political gains.
VHR also demanded immediate introduction of a Sub-Plan for Backward Classes. He also asked the State Government to make findings of Intensive Household Survey public.
