Improve mobility and accord priority to safety: SCR GM Hyderabad, Feb 6 (INN): Improve mobility in rail operations while according top priority to safety as the deadlines for meeting the targets set for current fiscal is fast approaching, said South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav. He was addressing a Video Conference of Divisional Railway Manager's of all six divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded from Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad on Monday.
The General Manager in his address called upon the Divisional Railway Managers to do integrated maintenance of railway tracks in order to resolve safety and mobility issues. In addition to Safety, the other core areas of priority are Punctuality, Earnings, Project execution he added. He emphasized on track maintenance as vital to Safety and advised officials to intensify checks and inspections to avoid any unusual. He expressed concern over delay in ordering relief locomotive in the instances of loco failures. He advised officials to act promptly in avoiding loco failures as well as arranging relief locomotives.
Vinod Kumar Yadav wanted the Construction Organisation to achieve the targets set for completion and commissioning of last mile projects without any scope for delay. Opining that team work is most important, he instructed all the departments to work in co-ordination so as to attain best possible results. He wanted proper utilization of assets and also encouraged officials to come out with innovations towards bettering performance results.
Senior officials including SCR Additional General Manager A.K. Gupta were amongst the officials present.
