Komatireddy denounces rumours of changing party Hyderabad, April 6 (INN): Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkatreddy has vehemently dismissed rumours suggesting that he is planning to change his political party.
Speaking to the media in Delhi on Thursday, Venkatreddy emphasized his loyalty to the Congress party, stating, "I'm having Congress blood."
Venkatreddy urged the public not to believe the news about him switching parties, condemning media organizations for spreading fake news. He clarified that he has not made any official announcements regarding his political future, and refuted claims that he has distanced himself from party activities.
He highlighted his recent participation in a protest at Gandhi Bhavan against Rahul Gandhi's disqualification, as well as his active involvement in numerous programs in the Bhuvangiri constituency. The Bhongir MP reiterated his commitment to the Congress party, saying, "There are no options before me... I am Congress blood."
Venkatreddy also dismissed any notion of receiving offers from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or starting a new political party. He stressed that the Congress party is a brand, and it is mere speculation that he would change his affiliation. The MP mentioned that similar false campaigns have been launched against him in the past.
Venkatreddy reminded the public of his 35-year history with the Congress party, including his resignation as Minister for Telangana, and criticized those who profit from spreading falsehoods. He called on the media and the public to stop spreading false news regarding his political stance.
