Woman murdered, husband prime suspect Warangal, Oct 8 (INN): Police on Friday registered a case against the husband of a woman whose body was found with the throat slit in a cotton field behind her residence in Bithyatanda, Mahabubabad in Warangal district. According to SDPO Ramprasad Rao, Mangamma (22) was married to Suresh (24) two years ago and she had given birth to a girl child two months ago. Suresh and Mangammas domestic life was beset with petty arguments after the initial first two month and these spats had continued till the time she came to her parents residence for the birth of her child.
On Thursday night, Mangammas parents had returned home from the market to find their infant granddaughter wailing in the cradle. They searched frantically for their daughter, first inside the residence and later in the courtyard. They finally found their daughter in a pool of blood in the cotton field outside bordering their house. Mangammas throat had been slit.
The parents immediately alerted the police who arrived on the scene and took up investigations. The police, based on the version of Mangammas parents that the son-in-law had blamed his wife for giving birth to a girl child, registered a case under Sections 302 and 498 IPC and named Suresh as the prime suspect.
