Dr. Mani conferred with Dharmatma by Sarada Peetham
Morganville, NJ: Dr. S. Mani Yegnasubramanian, Chairman of Hindu American Temple and Cultural Center (HATCC) and Sringeri Vidya Bharati Foundation (SVBF) is conferred the title of 'DHARMATMA' by the Jadadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Teerthananda Mahaswamiji of Sri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri, India on the auspicious Saraswathi Puja day during the recent Navarathri festivities.
Srinivas Ganagoni, Board of Trustee and Chairperson of Publicity of HATCC announced this to the public. The CEO of the Sringeri Peetham, Sri. V.R. Gowrishankar noted that, in the history of 1200 years, Dr. Mani is the third person to receive this unique honor.
It is also unique because Dr. Mani is the first person to be conferred this title in the August Darbar (Kingly Assembly) of his Holiness, right in front of the Sanctum of Sri Sharadamba witnessed by thousands of devotees around the world.
Dr. Mani built the Hindu American Temple and Cultural Center (HATCC), Sri Guruvaayoorappan Temple in New Jersey with an end-to-end vision on a 40+ acre property. He is instrumental in constructing many other temples in the United States.
Dr. Mani is a great force in spreading Sanatana Dharma for several decades not only in the United States but also across the globe. He has been serving our community by founding and maintaining several temples across the US that are acting as Spiritual, Religious and Cultural Centers thereby ensuring that our principles of Sanatana Dharma are preserved for our future generations to follow.
For many years, Dr. Mani has dedicated much of his time, energy, resources and knowledge, through a steadfast devotion towards his guru and the scriptures. He also worked towards an unflinching support for Dharmic activities across the globe and provided support for many Vedic scholars who are responsible to sustain and spread Vedic knowledge. His inspiring guidance and teaching of our sacred scriptures and their message, to hundreds of disciples and their families across the globe.
Residing in the USA, Dr. Mani has strived to propagate the teachings of Hindu scriptures such as the Vedas and the Bhagavad-Gita, took upon the establishment and management of the overseas branches of Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham in USA and Canada, founding and renovating many new and old temples, conducting Vedic Sammelans in USA and India to honor and support Vedic scholars and to protect the propagation of all extant branches of the Vedas, conducting maha yajnas like Ati Rudram , Shata Chandi and Koti Kumkumarchana, and supporting many Go-Shalas ( Cow-shelters ) to name a few.

Leading with our thoughts on NArayaNa, may these blessings shine forth in the matter of our dearest student Sri Yegnasubramanian. You, from a young age, having inculcated faith and devotion in matters of Dharma, Guru and Devi, have been engaged in the path of honored believers. Living in America for a very long time, you have undertaken there the special task of propagating SanAtana Dharma. You have distinctly pleased us by your multifaceted help in the administration and establishing branches of Sri Shringeri Mutts in both America and Canada. By organizing Vedic Conferences, by honoring the Vedic scholars, by constructing many temples and rejuvenating old ones etc, by propagating the message of the BhagavadgItA all over, by protecting upward of a thousand cows, by performing great ritual sacrifices like the Ati-Rudra MahAyajna etc, the not so ordinary tasks undertaken by you is worthy of ongoing praise. Having placed great devotion in the lineage of Sri Shrngagiri ShAradA PITha, you have extended unparalleled service. Having seen your exemplary qualities, being ever inwardly pleased, we congratulate and honor you with the Title:'DHARMĀTMA'
