Prakasam district records 8.5mm rainfall Ongole, November 10. The prakasam district received rainfall of 8.5mm in the last 24 hours due to low pressure in the bay of bengal. Wide spread rains occured in the most parts of the district on the sunday.
On sunday till 5:30 pm Kothapatnam 4mm, Chirala 3.6mm, Ulavapadu 3.4mm, Singarayakonda 3.2mm, Parchur 2.5mm, Karamchedu 2.5mm received the days highest rainfall respectively,
The weatherman predicted that the same weather condition would prevail on monday and tuesday too with rains in most parts of the district.
The prakasam district collector K. Vijaykumar held meetings with all the heads of the departments and separte control was established. A Control room with the number 08592-284100 working in collectorate.
The fisherman advised not to go into deep sea. If any emergency occured in the district the administration assumed high degree of readiness to render necessary humanitarian assistance in the district said by the collector.
