Grameena Bank launches Special savings bank deposit campaign Regional Manager of Andhra Pragathi Grameena Bank (APGB), Ongole Sri V.C.K Prasad, launched special savings bank deposit campaign from 01-12-2014 to 31-12-2014 on Monday. In this campaign new savings bank accounts will be opened in all the branches of the bank.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. V.C.K Prasad said that the bank's target was to achieve Rs. 200 crore as deposit in the month of December alone. To achieve this target the bank manager requests cooperation from customers and well wishers.
The Regional Manager said Andhra Pragathi Grameena Bank was one of the top ten rural banks in the country. With a network of 454 branches, the bank clocked a turnover of Rs. 14,500 crore and 50.03 lakh satisfied customers. The bank operates in Kurnool, Kadapa, Prakasam, Anantapur and Nellore districts.
The APGB bank opened 3,33,700 savings accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) scheme till now. The new customers can avail the benifits of the PMJDY scheme include RuPay Debit Card with in-built Rs 1 lakh accidental insurance through the banking with this bank.
Chairman Secretariat and Financial inclusion chief manager of the APGB Sri S.V. Rama Subbarao, and managers of the bank were present.
