21 minors among 31 held for bike racing Hyderabad, July 5 (INN): The Osmana Sagar Lake Police patrol team on Sunday apprehended 31 racers along with 13 racing bikes.
Among the apprehended racers, 21 are minors and of 10 remaining racers, only two had driving license. Cases have been registered against the racers and parents, owners of the vehicles who handed vehicle to Minors as well as racers who have no driving license under IPC and MV Act. Bikes have been seized and will be deposited in court, police said.
Parents of the racers were called to the Narsingi Police station and counselled. Parents were briefed about legal consequences and endanger in untrained racing.
Lake Police stations with two lake patrolling mobiles were launched in Osman sagar Gandipet and Himayath Sagar with strong initiation of Cyberabad Commissioner of Police C.V.Anand, one month ago. Osman sagar lake police patrol teams saved two lives in recent couple of weeks C. Raju, age about 30 yrs of Himayath Nagar village and Venkatesh, age about 13 yrs, of Peeramchervu village.
In spite of several cases registered racers arrested, vehicles seized, parents got counseled, still minors, youngsters are coming for dangerous racing to Gandipet and met with accidents. It equally dangerous to riders as well passerby's. parents has to strictly control their children and don't allow them to use two wheelers.
