Venkaiah blames Congress, TRS for T-suicides Hyderabad, April 20 (INN): BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday blamed the Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samithi for delay in formation of Telangana which led to suicide of over 1200 students and youth.
Addressing a press conference here, Venakaiah Naidu said that the Congress and TRS were responsible for the suicides and they must accept the responsibility.
He said that the Congress was forced to accept the Telangana demand as it had no other option. It was afraid that the BJP would grant statehood for Telangana after coming to power and therefore, it gave Telangana to gain political mileage.
Venkaiah slammed the Congress and TRS leaders for projecting him of being anti-Telangana. He said the Telangana Bill in Rajya Sabha got delayed as he sought some clarifications. However, the same reason is being wrongly used to brand him as anti-Telangana.
The BJP leader alleged that TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao was making allegations on BJP only with a fear of defeat in elections. He said if BJP-TDP alliance was unsacred, then why KCR did came forward for an alliance with them earlier.
'KCR should not forget that he formed an alliance with TDP once in the past. Also, he should not forget that he worked under Chandrababu Naidu when he was the chief minister,' he said.
Venkaiah Naidu said that the Congress, TRS and YSRCP were worried over the response that the TDP-BJP alliance has been getting in both Telangana and Seemandhra.
He claimed that Narendra Modi's wave was very much prevalent in both the regions and TDP-BJP alliance would form government in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
