TANA-Telugu University Music Courses Inaugurated Telugu Association of North America(TANA) and Potti Sriramulu Telugu University has jointly inaugurated the Certificate courses in music on sunday at Shiridi Sai temple in Dallas. TANA-PSTU Courses Chairman Dr.Prasad Thotakura, TANA regional representative Dr.Rajesh Adusumilli and Co-ordinator Meenakshi jointly started the courses.
Speaking on the occasion, TANA President Nannapaneni Mohan said that this is a great milestone in the history of TANA and requested the students to utilize the opportunity. TANA-PSTU Courses chairman Dr.Prasad Thotakura asked the students, who are interested in music to test their skills by joining the courses and said that the University officials will conduct the exams after two years and issues the certificates to the candidates who completes the courses successfully.
'Earlier these exams used to take place in Hyderabad. But now onwards students can attend the exams in America itself. It is a great opportunity and everyone should use it to the maximum' said Meenakshi, co-ordinator of the music courses.
In this context Tana and Suswara academy jointly organized a music concert, in which Parupalli Satyanarayana, 'Asthana Vidhwan' of Kanchi Kamakoti has sung a few Annamacharya devotional songs which received a great applause from the audience.
Srikanth Polavarapu, Chalapathi Kondrakunta, Dr.C.R.Rao, Dr.Aalla Srinivasa Reddy, Nasim Shaik, Mulukutla Venkat, sastri Anipindi and others took part in the event. For more details about the courses and syllabus one can visit http://www.tana.org/
